Dresden is a village of just a few hundred people located in Yates County on the West side of Seneca Lake, 12 miles south of Geneva. It is located on North/South Route 14 with Route 54 intersecting Route 14 in Dresden, which runs West to Penn Yan which is about 5 miles away. The region around Dresden was known as "Kashong" to the natives and was part of the Phelps and Gorham Purchase.
