Route 488 is a short, 10 mile long, state highway in Ontario County. It runs from Route 21 in Hopewell just east of Canandaigua to Route 96 halfway between Phelps and Clifton Springs. Route 488 goes west/east until it passes County Road 20, at which point it goes north, passes the Newark Reservoir and ends at Route 96 at a T three way intersection.
